so very excited for this Saturday - my first show with a string quartet, and simultaneously my last residency at the beloved Tranzac Club. Michael Peter Olsen has written some truly *gorgeous* charts, and I'm deeply grateful to Elise Boeur, Rachael of Zinnia, and Paul Mathew for being willing to bring them to life.

this Saturday, February 22 - it's been 2 years since I played a band show, so I'm really looking forward to this one. expect the tender moments to be interspersed with some skronky rock-outs. Jason Battacharya (Granny Smith Music), Sam Gleason, and Ben Harney are rounding out the crew (big ups to Ben for the last-minute fill-in!)

it's my strong advice to you to just devote the entire night to posting up in the Southern Cross, because tender powerhouse Zinnia will be taking the stage after me and her music and devotion to art are some of the best things Toronto has to offer ✨

in honour of not having had to see any posts from me for a full 10 months, I cordially invite you to the Tranzac on December 28th for a respite from your holiday lull. this will be the first of 4 shows I'll be playing for my Tranzac residency; trust that I have much up my sleeve, but we're starting slow and easy during this time of year when time doesn't really super exist anyway.
