Our Rokoko Motion Capture Workshop is happening TODAY October 19 Thursday. 🎉

In this workshop, we'll take a look at the advantages (and challenges!) of working with a Rokoko motion capture suit. We'll walk through the process of getting a capture and how you would then use it as an armature for your animations

Our Robot Drawing Workshop is happening TODAY on October 17 Tuesday. 🎉

In this workshop, we’ll introduce Rhino and Grasshopper, run a script to create a unique maze drawing and have our Kuka robot draw participants' designs.

The Design + Technology LAB at and the welcome applications for a student grant competition that seeks projects which activate the use of creative tech. Up to ten $500 awards will be given to support student projects across the Creative School. Leveraging this opportunity as more than just access to a fabrication facility, we are looking for projects that advance the use of technology within the creative sectors. How can you use technology to push the boundaries of your field? We’re looking for innovative proposals that are tied to class curriculum. Projects can include, but are not limited to AR/VR, 360 video, flatbed UV printing, robotics, digital fabrication, textile computing, drones, photogrammetry, 3D scanning, motion tracking/capture, 3D printing, wearable technology, and more.

❗️To qualify for this competition:
You must be a member of The Creative School and meet one of the following criteria: be an undergraduate student working on a culminating thesis project, be an undergraduate student in your final year of studies working on a curricular project, or be a graduate student.

3D Modelling with Blender Workshop is happening TODAY October 3 Tuesday. 🎉

Blender is a powerful (and free!) tool that you can use to create models for 3D printing or digital applications. In this introductory workshop, we'll cover the basic functionality Blender offers and how you can leverage it for your projects.

Open Space will be having an Open House where you can come and explore this amazing space!

Open Space is a drop-in maker facility where students can work on academic-related projects. Everything from circuit boards to paper mache to photo shoots can happen in Open Space.

Open Space is for all students of The Creative School and is a great place to meet for creative projects for a class, or to get assistance with tools and creative design from the Project Space Technician, Joseph. He is a highly-skilled creative and can help your vision come to life! Hope to see you there!
