Enemy at the Gates has all the elements necessary for a compelling war film, but the lack of character depth coupled with director Jean-Jacques Annaud's detached style, makes watching this movie an uninvolving experience. There were times when I admired Enemy at the Gates, but I was never really drawn into the story.

Cal McTeer is a young woman who has returned home to the small fishing village of Orphelin Bay after 10 years in juvenile detention. Upon returning to her hometown, she discovers that it is shrouded in mysteries -- the biggest of which is the commune of outcasts who live in a hidden pocket of the bay, the Tidelanders. She hopes to blow the lid off a generations-long conspiracy of silence around murder, drugs and Sirens.

Ocean Eight

Even after seeing it several times, it's still an excellent show. It's clever, the acting is great (gets better throughout the seasons), it has a very distinct science-theme, and after a while I found myself really becoming attached to the characters. I LOVE Anna Torv (who plays Olivia).

A skilled Comanche warrior protects her tribe from a highly evolved alien predator that hunts humans for sport, fighting against wilderness, dangerous colonisers and this mysterious creature to keep her people safe.
