On March 10, 2022 Jonathan along with his parents and younger brother Joey, after being cancer free for almost 9 years; had to hear these words for the second time “it’s cancer.” And not a relapse of his original Ewing’s Sarcoma, but instead a totally new cancer called Osteosarcoma; a bone cancer which likely is a result of the extensive radiation and chemo received to cure his

So incredibly proud of this boy! He Graduated today from UMASS ISENBERG with a Bachelor’s in Accounting. He started his journey at Westfield State in 2020. 2022 he was accepted into the Isenberg program. That had to be put on hold because of his Cancer diagnosis. He fought this terrible disease for a second time with a smile on his face, a wonderful attitude and great community support. He won again, has his degree, Madie by his side, who just graduated from Elms Nursing school. On to his Master’s degree by December, take his CPA and a job with PwC. My ❤️ is full.
I can’t say enough thank you’s to all the people who helped him/us along this journey. I hope you all know how much it has meant to us. ❤️❤️🎗️🎗️>
Hello Everyone,
It’s been quite some time since our last update. It has been just over a year now since finishing up chemotherapy. I just had my one year checkup visit last week with Dana Farber and all of the results came back clean and healthy! Everything is going well. Other than that, I am finishing up the fall semester at UMass soon and enjoying the holidays. Thank you for continued support and Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello everybody!
It has been a while since my last update. Sorry for the long wait, I had my checkup appointment done last week. I had a clean bill of health. My broken rib that they were worried about has been healing and shown no sign of disease. Soon after this appointment I had attended my brother graduation as well as a training event in Orlando, Florida for my summer internship at PwC in Boston this summer. It was a great experience and they even paid for me and my peers to attend Epcot for a day. A great way to start the summer! My next checkup will be around the end of august/early September. Until then I will be working as a accoutning intern at PwC for a few weeks and enjoying time with family. For anyone who still follows my story today, thank you and I appreciate you!!!

Happy St Patrick’s Day!
Update - I went in for another scan Monday to take a look again at the broken/fractured rib. It appears to look the same as the scan 6 weeks ago, healing slowly. Other than that, everything is great!
Hello everyone
It’s been about 3 months since I finished my last chemotherapy treatment. I’ve enjoyed life and gotten back into a normal daily cycle. My hair has fully grown back at this point too! I’ve been going to the gym normally, rock climbing, and snowboarding. The sky is the limit! I’ve also started back again as a realtor and have been working hard to find some buyers and sellers. I start school full time next week at UMass Amherst with 4 class + Lab schedule. Everything has been great and I’ve been feeling healthy!
Per the protocol I went in for my 3 month check up with Dana Farber this past Monday. The results were not the anticipated results I was looking for. Turns out i have a displaced fractured rib on my right side which for safety we will just be checking up on in about 6 weeks. Not sure how I managed that, and the pain doesn’t really bother me either.
Other than that everything has been great! I appreciate all the support and am looking forward to a fun and relaxing 2023!

Happy Thanksgiving!! 🦃
I have been reflecting all day on everything I am grateful for. Good health, great friends, great family, and everyone who has supported me this year.
It’s great to be home and celebrate the holidays with family now.
Thank you everyone!🤍
Hello everyone!
Great news today at Dana Farber Clinic. The PET/CT Scans I had done on Friday have comeback as clear! No cancer was detected in my body. This marks the official victory over the second fight with cancer in my life. The last 7.5 months were a lot different from my original bout with cancer when I was 12. This time around I knew what to expect. I knew from the day I was diagnosed I would beat it. I had great hopes immediately that I would. I have too much to look forward to in life and refused to be held back from that. 39 days of chemotherapy, removed lung, 6 ribs / partial removed, 90+ days spent overnight at Boston Children’s in 7.5 months. It’s over.
Now it’s time to get back on track with life and start chipping away at some goals. I’ve planned to return to school full time for the spring semester at UMass Amherst’s Isenberg School of Management, as I was accepted into it a few weeks ago. I also have accepted an offer for a summer internship in accounting with PwC in Boston. As for now, I’m going to take the next 2 months to focus on recovering my body to prepare for the new year and then it’s full steam ahead with life. We also had talked about post cancer care today, I’ll be checking in at Dana Farber with bloodwork and scans every 3 months, and visits with some of my specialists in-between those months.
Thank you everyone for the love, support, and care along this journey. You all have helped me during my entire battle by showing I have an army of support and love helping me obtain this achievement. Not only am I grateful for all of this, but my family is as well. Love you all🤍🎗️
Last Friday at 10:30pm I left the hospital for the final time after completing my final round of chemo. No more overnight hospital stays! Now onto the scans and port removal…
Thank you everyone who supported me throughout this journey, we did it!!

Hello everyone,
I am back home now for my 2 week break. I have been feeling very strong and healthy lately and I’ve been gaining weight slowly. Luckily the chemotherapy schedule is going to workout in my favor and now I’ll be home for my birthday this year, then go back shortly after. When I return to Boston I will have one 3 week stay left, then a 2 week break, then 2 weeks of chemo and I will be done. It’s a great feeling being close to the end of these Boston sleepovers.
A great friend of ours, Peg Cecchetelli, had some new hats made up that say “KO Cancer” on them. With a $20 donation you can receive a hat. We also have some t-shirts left over from the benefit for $20 each as well. Sizes left are S,M,L. Please message this page if you are interested in getting a hat or shirt and we will find a way to ship or drop off. Thank you again for all the support! I appreciate everyone checking in❤️

Hey friends,
I went back august 8th for my 2 weeks of methotrexate. It was an easy 2 weeks. After that I now have my 6 day visit for some of the more nasty grueling chemo. I got home last Friday from methotrexate chemo and had felt a little funky and ended up having a fever that lasted the entire weekend. I didn’t let the weekend go to waste though. Monday rolls around and I go back to Boston to start my next chemo, which instead I got some antibiotics and sent home and told to come back Wednesday. Wednesday rolls around and we are just about 10 minutes away from Dana Farber when we get a call saying a water pipe burst at Boston Childrens and I would not get admitted for chemo today, and to come back tomorrow. So we (my father and I) went to the King Tut exhibit at SoWa Boston. Now today we show up, there are 2 rooms waiting for discharge and I am waiting with another patient to be admitted. We normally arrive at 11:30am and get all hooked up and blood work done and just wait around for the call. Around 3pm the nurse lets us know one of the rooms is no longer available so we are going to have a long wait. So Dana Farber put us up into a hotel nearby for the wait. A doctor on the floor I’ll be admitted to called and said the room should be ready around 10:30pm but pharmacy is backed up and I won’t be getting starting chemotherapy tonight, but I should tomorrow. That’s where I am now writing this post. Sometimes everything ends up getting delayed and pushed back, and this is just one of those weeks! After this mess cleans itself up, I’ll be back on a 2 week break after I complete this 6 days.

Hey!
I just finished up my last hospital course and now I’m home for 2 weeks again! The last 3 weeks was nothing special, same mediocre stay, watched Netflix the entire time. I got home yesterday afternoon and enjoyed a nice dinner. Unfortunately with this last visit I’ll have some delayed chemo sickness over this first week home. Other than that I’ve been handling everything fairly well. After my hospital visit, before this last stay, my hair had actually started to grow back because I hadn’t had chemotherapy in a couple weeks due to surgery. But now at this point, it had all fallen out from the last stay. Eyelashes are now also gone and the eyebrows are getting very slim. I was hoping they would last the whole time! But unfortunately right when we are close to being done, it’s all gonna come off.
Only focus right now is eating a ton of food!
Love all of you ❤️
