Our story begins in 1995 even though the Torres Insurance Group AKA AXiA Torres Insurance Group opened recently. Born in Hartford CT from Puerto Rican parents Daniel Torres has always had a love and drive for impacting community. Since his parents moved to the Western MA community in 1965 Daniel Torres has been an integral part of the Latino community and its growth and development. He began his p
rofessional career in juvenile justice and learned quickly that the Latino community needed help creating an economic foundation after "learning" that insurance could be a powerful and vital tool to address the economic needs of the community Daniel knew and embraced this mission. Daniel Torres, became a licensed insurance agent in 1995 after learning how insurance products and services could build generational wealth and economic power. In 2002 he understood that the Latino community was underrepresented and underserved in the property and casualty insurance marketplace. He immediately began to educate consumers on the value and importance of insurance. In a short amount of time Torres Insurance Agency became a household name for Latinos in Western MA. In 2007 he expanded operations into the state of CT and again the community responded to the knowledge based sale approach. Torres had an opportunity to sell the Torres Insurance Agency and serve as executive director for a faith based community development corporation in Hartford, CT. He was invited back to work for the individuals he sold his agencies to in 2014. In 2016 after realizing that the folks he sold the agency to were not serving the community he had fought to educate and protect Mr. Torres parts ways with that entity and makes the decision to return to ownership. Torres successfully opened the Torres Insurance Group that is serving the Massachusetts and Connecticut Latino communities with the respect and honor it deserves. Torres has partnered with AXiA Insurance Group to create an agency group called AXiA Torres Insurance Group that serve the Auto, Home, Life & Health, Business & Commercial Insurance needs of Latinos in MA, CT, NY, NH, RI & FL with more than 17 personal lines carriers and many more commercial lines carriers (Insurance Companies)
