Fascinating new research about the brain! I’m excited to learn more and connect ever more specialized brain cells inside all of us. The more we learn about the brain, the more we learn how much more there is to learn! 🧠♥️
The Human Brain Has a Dizzying Array of Mystery Cells Researchers identified some 3,300 types of brain cells, an order of magnitude more than was previously known, and have only a dim notion of what most of them do.

This is a beautiful article by a woman I went to school with that powerfully expresses one perspective on what it is to live as an adult with dyslexia. Enjoy!

The gift of this time is a chance to study more Brain Integration with the fabulous Jacque Mooney from Australia. Tonight I am feeling grateful for this work, for my colleagues, and for my teachers. As the school year begins this September, I look forward to sharing my new wisdom with all who walk through the doors at Boston Brain Integration!
I learned wonderful new things about the vestibular system this week in a LEAP class broadcast live from Australia! It seemed particularly relevant in a world that is so tragically off balance from both the pandemic and the tragedy of systemic racism. I am eager to get back into my practice soon to help all those who need my services! I hope you’re all staying safe out there.
As we struggle collectively with the dramatic changes that Covid-19 has brought to our lives, I want everyone to know that I am here at Boston Brain Integration, and it is my intention and mission to care for those who are suffering, those on the front lines, and those suddenly without their usual self care and in need of connection. I am working remotely until businesses open up again, and I am happy to schedule time with folks who need my services either on the phone or over Zoom. May we stay safe and socially distant for as long as is necessary to protect the most vulnerable members of our society and our first responders and medical professionals. We will get through this together.

"The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant, but has forgotten the gift." -Albert Einstein
Much of what Brain Integration seeks to do is to rebalance the connections between the two hemispheres so we can use more of our whole selves as we approach life. Nearly everything we do requires both hemispheres in order to function. And yet our society values the perspective of Logic so much more than the perspective of Intuition. It is no easy task to stay grounded and balanced in our modern world.
The divided brain Psychiatrist Iain McGilchrist describes the real differences between the left and right halves of the human brain. It's not simply "emotion on the right, reason on the left," but something far more complex and interesting. A Best of the Web talk from RSA Animate.
