2022 D1A 15's National Champs The Army Ruggers are West Point’s most winning team.

The Army Rugby Team was founded in 1961 and for over 50 years has been a leader in USA Collegiate Rugby. In 1980 the USA Rugby Collegiate Championship playoff system was established. Since then, the Army Rugby team has qualified for every Sweet 16 Tournament and also reached more then 10 Final Fours. The Army Rugby team has finished second in the nation 3 times.

Thank you very much to Gregor Townsend, Head Coach of Scotland for visiting with Coach Sherman!

The exchange of ideas was tremendously valuable. In addition to learning from their high-performance environment, Sherman had the opportunity to share aspects of the West Point Leader Development System.

We also thank Sherman's former player Alex Ross, Scotland Rugby head of athletic performance and sport science, for setting the meeting up!

Fresh off receiving honors at our team awards banquet just minutes earlier, George Engels made the walk across Ike Hall to garner the Men's Rugby Team Award at last night's athletic awards convocation, earning Team MVP honors with the award!

Last week, we played our Sandhurst exhibition match against the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst!

It was an action-packed fixture in front of a packed and energized Anderson Rugby Complex! Thank you to all who attended, and special thanks to Sandhurst for making the trip!
