A baby won't remember who held them, but a new mother/parent will certainly remember who was there for them in the trenches of postpartum.
Hold the mom—clean the home, make dinner, play with the older kids, walk the dogs, take her out of the house (if she wants), and literally hold her.

Are you expecting a child soon and craving more from your pregnancy journey?
More connection to yourself, your baby, & others?
More education & advocacy from your birth team?
More physical & emotional support in the birth room?
More tools to help you feel grounded
& prepared for the twists and turns birth can bring?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, you may be in need of a doula!
I am now serving the Monroe/West Monroe and Ruston areas. I would love to set up a time to chat with you to answer any questions you may have about doula work and even see if I may be a right fit to add to your birth team.
I look forward to hearing from you and happy birthing! ✨✨✨✨

✨Big news ✨
After much thought and lots of spiritual nudges, my partner and I have decided to relocate to Louisiana indefinitely. Being closer to family is what calls to our souls now, and I couldn’t be more excited serve the amazing birthing people in my hometown community!
I plan to serve Monroe, West Monroe, Ruston, and all surrounding areas for placenta encapsulation as well as labor/birth support.
I am so excited for this new chapter in my small business. The offical move date is 5/23. Please reach out if you are local to this area and have any questions about receiving my services.

The squat bar is one of my favorite labor tools to utilize during a hospital birth.
A squat bar is a long metal attachment that can be added to most hospital beds to help facilitate a squatting position from inside the bed.
It can be used during active labor to encourage cervical change, as well as encourage baby to desend in the pushing phase.
This squatting position helps to widen the pelvis opening and also uses gravity to encourage the downward movement of your baby.
There are tons of other techniques to help you utilize this squatting position during your labor as well.
Some include:
Hanging from a rebozo over your partners shoulders and entering into a squat
Using two support people to support both shoulders and entering into a squat
Entering into a squat and leaning over the birth ball
Tying a rebozo into a knot, throwing it over a door, closing it, and hanging from it while entering a squat
Some of the benefits of squatting during the pushing phase include fewer injuries to the perineum, less blood loss, and wider pelvic outlet dimensions.
