June is National Pet Preparedness Month 🐾

Emergencies can happen at any time, so it’s important to include your furry family members in your emergency and disaster plans. A little preparation can help keep your pets safe and comfortable when it matters most.

Here are two important ways to prepare:

🐶 1. Create a Pet Go Kit
Include essentials like food, water, medications, leashes, carriers, vaccination records, and comfort items for your pet.

🏷️ 2. Make Sure Your Pet Has Proper Identification
Keep collars and ID tags updated, and make sure your pet’s microchip information is current in case you become separated.

Being prepared can make all the difference for you and your pets! 🐾

🎉 Way to go, Kimber! 🎉

We are so proud of Kimber for reaching an incredible milestone—an 8-pound weight loss! Maintaining a healthy weight can improve mobility, reduce stress on joints, and contribute to a happier, healthier life.

Kimber's dedication (and her family's commitment) is paying off, and we couldn't be more excited to celebrate this achievement. Keep up the amazing work, Kimber! ❤️

🐶👂 Did you know that swimming can increase your dog’s risk of developing an ear infection? All of these pictures show different ear infections in dogs.

Moisture trapped in the ear canal creates the perfect environment for bacteria and yeast to grow, leading to painful ear infections. Common signs include head shaking, scratching at the ears, redness, odor, and discharge.

One of the best ways to help prevent ear infections is by cleaning your dog’s ears regularly—especially after swimming, bathing, or spending time in the water. Proper ear care helps remove excess moisture and debris before problems start.

If your pet is showing signs of an ear infection, don’t wait! Contact us to schedule an exam and get them feeling comfortable again. 💙🐾

This is only a few of the live fleas & ticks we’ve pulled off of pets so far this year.

Year-round parasite prevention is one of the easiest ways to protect your furry family members from ticks, fleas, heartworms, & other parasites. If your pet isn’t on any prevention give us a call!

🌸🐾 Flower shopping season is here! 🐾🌸

As you bring home fresh flowers and new plants this spring and summer, we wanted to give everyone a friendly reminder that many common household plants can be toxic to our furry friends. Some plants may cause a mild reaction, while others can lead to serious health concerns if ingested.

A few common toxic plants include:
🌷 Lilies
🌿 Pothos
🌺 Oleander
🌱 Philodendrons
🌸 Tulips & Daffodils
🍃 Sago Palms
🌼 Chrysanthemums

If you’re unsure whether a plant is pet-safe, it’s always best to check before bringing it home. Keeping toxic plants out of reach — or choosing pet-friendly options — can help keep your pets safe and healthy this season! 💚

If you think your pet may have eaten a toxic plant, contact your veterinarian or pet poison hotline right away. 🐶🐱

Today is National Dog Rescue Day — a day to celebrate the incredible rescue dogs who have found loving homes and the people who gave them a second chance. 🐾❤️

These are some of our staff’s beloved pets who were rescued and are now living their best lives. Every rescue dog has a story, and we are so thankful these amazing pups found safe, loving homes filled with care and compassion.

Rescue dogs may come from difficult beginnings, but with patience and love, they become loyal companions and cherished family members. Today we honor not only our own rescued pets, but all the dogs still waiting for their forever homes.

Show us your rescue dogs in the comments! 🐾❤️ We’d love to see your adopted pups and hear their stories!

Thank you to the shelters, rescues, fosters, and adopters who help make these happy endings possible.
