Bauter Claims Bobby Waltrip

The Bobby Waltrip Memorial is a main stay inside the walls of the agricultural center in Williamston.

The list of names who have accomplished this is nothing less then a card for of karting phenoms who will forever be cemented in history.

Stephen Adams would set fast time for the event followed by Tommy Bauter, Bryson Duncan, Chase Williamson and Bryson Murray.

The race started off with a lunch from Adams that almost made it seem like the 92 was here to dominate. Some shuffling in the top five saw Bryson Duncan slam the door on the 811 of Chase Williamson and an eviction notice with it as Williamson was sent out of the park.

A caution would stack the field and “Money Bags” was here to play. Bauter would get around Adams too claim the lead but the job was far from over. Bryson Murray was hungry and lights out fast with a hard charging Timothy Holmes hot on his heels. Murray and Holmes would end up trading the spot back and forth until Murray had one last push that came up short in the end.

Bauter in his second trip to the Indoor Nationals would win with Murray and Holmes close behind, Bryson Duncan and Stephen Adams would close out the Top 5.
