Asking for prayers. We are getting an online prayer circle going. My love to everyone who reads this. Let's pray for each other today because prayers are needed right now. If I don't see your name, I'll understand. I ask my family and friends wherever you might be, to kindly post this status for one hour, to whisper a prayer for all of those who have family problems, health struggles, job issues, or worries of any kind and just need to know that someone cares. When I served in the Army, my life was in the hands of black, brown, red, yellow and white toned people. We were friends, we were combatants, we were Battle Buddies and we had each others six when the hammer slammed the anvil. We trained, we sweated and we bled together. We came together from all parts of the country; we came together from all religions. We were a society unto ourselves.
We worked as a team, a well oiled machine. We fought for our brothers through thick and thin. We protected each other, that was what we did. The only color we saw was OD Green and everyone’s blood ran red.....

I have decided to publish this message to make people aware of the horrific byproducts of diabetes. You realize who true friends are or people who really appreciate you. Unfortunately, some friends will click "like" but they don't really take time to read your status if they see it's long...
The disease ruins your cardiovascular and renal systems. And the drugs, like metformin, that are prescribed, may encourage the onset of dementia. Now I'm looking for those who will have time to read this post to the end. Diabetes is very invasive and destructive to our body, even after treatment, and medications your body is still struggling with yourself trying to regulate the spiking/dropping of blood sugar levels all the time. It's a very long process. Let’s not forget retinopathy or neuropathy.
Please, in honor of a family member or friend who has died or continues to fight diabetes or even have diabetes themselves; copy and paste (not share) on your page. So, I'm going to find out who reads my posts, please write "done."
