Another meaningful corporate well-being morning with the team at Ampco Pumps .

We spent time together exploring simple, practical ways to support everyday nutrition in a busy work environment. The focus today was on meal prep basics, how to choose healthier salad dressings, and what to look for when it comes to oils and ingredient quality.

We also built our own salad-in-a-jar, which is always a favorite. It’s such a simple way to make healthy eating more accessible during the work week, especially when time is tight.

Along the way, we touched on a few key lifestyle habits that make a big difference over time:
🔸Smart food storage to keep meals fresh and convenient
🔸Reading labels in a way that actually feels doable
🔸Identifying better-for-you ingredient choices without overwhelm

Grateful to another company for investing in their people and creating space for wellness to be part of the workday. It really matters when organizations prioritize health in a practical, supportive way.

We begin Wednesday, June 24 from 6:00–6:30 PM, and this is a small group, guided 6-week experience focused on helping you better understand your metabolism, food choices, and the patterns that impact your energy, weight, and overall health.

What we’re starting with (Week 1):
We open with one of the most important foundations: Learning how to actually understand your food.

In Week 1, we’ll go through:

This is such a beautiful example of how spring foods naturally support your body🌱

You’re getting seasonal vegetables like peas, radishes, and green onion… all lighter, fiber-rich foods that support digestion and help your body gently shift out of that heavier winter eating pattern.
🔸The salmon brings in high-quality protein and omega-3 fats, which are especially supportive for hormone balance, inflammation, and keeping blood sugar steady after a meal.
🔸And that mix of fiber + protein + healthy fats… that’s what helps you feel satisfied, energized, and less likely to reach for sugar later on.

One of my favorite weeks of the year! 💚 A huge thank you to MANITOU Group for inviting me to be part of your Employee Well-Being Week and for making employee health and wellness such a priority.

On Tuesday, we celebrated one of my favorite foods... chocolate! 🍫

I gave everyone permission to enjoy chocolate without the guilt as we sampled chocolate dessert hummus with fresh strawberries and apples. We also made a delicious cacao elixir while talking about the many ways cacao can support our health, from antioxidants to mood and heart health.

Then today, I had the opportunity to come back for a Meal Prep 101 workshop.

Everyone received a bento box, and together we built simple, nourishing meals filled with colorful vegetables, plant proteins, crunchy nuts and seeds, and other wholesome ingredients. More importantly, we had a great conversation about creating realistic habits that make healthy eating easier during busy weeks.

These experiences are always some of my favorites. There is nothing better than partnering with organizations that genuinely invest in the well-being of their employees. When companies create space for healthy habits, education, and connection, everyone benefits.

Kudos to Manitou Group for this wonderful initiative and thank you for allowing me to be part of such a meaningful week. 💚

This week we traded the conference room for fresh air, planted tomato plants, got our hands dirty, and talked about simple ways to make healthy eating easier.

It's STRAWBERRY Season 🍓

Oats and chia seeds bring in fiber that supports digestion and helps keep blood sugar more steady… which can make a big difference in energy, cravings, and hormone balance throughout the day.

The cocoa adds a rich, comforting flavor while also offering antioxidants, and the strawberries bring a touch of natural sweetness along with vitamin C and seasonal freshness.
