🐒 Florida has WILD MONKEYS and they live right here in Ocala!
Back in the 1930s, a tour boat operator released 6 monkeys onto a river island to attract tourists… not knowing that rhesus macaques can SWIM. They escaped immediately. 😅
Nearly 100 years later, their descendants are still roaming Silver Springs State Park — and yes, you can kayak the river and spot them! 🚣
