Announcing our June Art Alley artist: Wenatchee Valley College

Please join us for a reception on June 5th from 5-7pm in Art Alley!
------
The WVC Art Department is honored to share works by some of the talented students taking our art classes in the Pybus Art Alley for the month of June. These pieces represent a glimpse into some of the excellent art being created by WVC students, and the breadth of student types and interests we serve. Here, they are all growing and learning disciplines and skills that can help them to make compelling artistic expressions of their ideas and perspectives.

The Music and Art Center (MAC) provides tremendous facilities, practicing professional teaching artists, and a nurturing atmosphere for the development of skills and creativity. We offer instruction in a full complement of media, including drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics, design, illustration, digital design, graphic design, and art history.

Our studios are dynamic places open to a wide variety of student interests, from those simply looking to gain Humanities credits toward their associate degrees in another field; to those planning to go on to an advanced art degree or career; to local fine artists looking to further develop their already substantial practices. It is common to find 18-year-old Running Start students working alongside adults from Continuing Education, all growing in their own ways, and benefitting from one another’s perspectives and influences.
