A presentation drill like this one is a good way to warm up for your range session. Focused on the fundamentals; lock in your good grip, sight picture, and trigger pull before you increase the speed and round count.
Come join us at the next training session: July 19th at WRRC.

, , Predictive ... Each of these are topics that anyone could write a who book on but who's got time for that. Drew and David worked on Predictive shooting is running your gun based on what you know it's going to do and allows for much faster shooting. Reactive Shooting is waiting until you have more of a sight picture to take your next shot (think double tap vs a control pair, one sight picture vs. two). Drew (0.12 splits) is hands down faster than David (0.19 splits). However Drew varied between 0.12 and 0.19 and David shot .019 to 0.22 so he was more consistent. Talking over what each of us were working on resulted in a conversation about being willing to accept what you did good yet still strive to be better.
This was a really long, overly technical, anecdote to point out that you will not be masterful your first time on the range (or at most any endeavor). Show up, put in the time, put in valid/good training, and there will be improvement.
