In honor of Earth Day, we’re proud to announce a meaningful sustainability milestone at our Stemilt Chinchiolo California (CSC) facility. The production warehouse has achieved net‑zero energy usage. 🌞

This achievement comes from a two‑phase solar initiative that brought more than 3,000 solar panels on site, allowing us to fully offset our energy consumption with renewable generation. 🌎

What does that mean for long‑term impact? Over the next 25 years, this system will produce enough clean energy to equal removing 281 cars from the road or planting 456 trees. It’s a powerful step toward a more sustainable future, and one we’re excited to share with our community.

As Farmworker Awareness Week ends, we'd like to introduce you to our Equitable Food Initiative Leadership Team at Stemilt’s North Distribution Center. 👨‍🌾

This team is one of many helping us strengthen safety, fairness, and collaboration for farmworkers though the EFI program.

Jose, Mery, and Alfredo have led improvements such as:

• Painting arrows in the parking lot for safer crossing
• Adding ladders to conveyor areas to increase safety
• Organizing mezzanine materials for better efficiency and access

We’re grateful for the small changes they lead that make a big difference for our farmworkers. 🍎

Their recent improvements include:

• Installing stairs for safer access to the cafeteria
• Adding plungers to reduce repetitive bending in the bagging area
• Implementing a stamper on the pear line to boost efficiency

It’s the commitment of teams like this that shapes a better future for our farmworkers. 👨‍🌾

At Stemilt, we’re proud to celebrate 5 years of full certification by the Equitable Food Initiative (EFI) across our orchards and facilities. EFI is a certification program that helps farms like us improve safety, fairness, and collaboration for farmworkers 🚜

In 2025 alone, 48 improvement projects that support safer, stronger workplaces. 💪

Meet our Euclid EFI Leadership Team, who have helped drive positive changes on our apple production line, including:

• Adding permanent scale stations
• Building stairs across lines to prevent trips and falls
• Improving fan placement for a more comfortable workspace
