FREE KITTENS TO LOVING HOMES β€οΈπ
Freshly 10 weeks old, 4 boys and 1 girl (still intact)
Our client obtained these kittens from a feral mom on her property who left them to be cared for. Kittens have been raised in her home, have been socialized and are very sweet. They do know how to mouse if you are looking for that job experience π
They have been examined, appear healthy and have received their first vaccination. She really needs them in homes for their benefit (bonding with you!) and she herself has a medical procedure coming up and she'd appreciate the peace of mind knowing they're in good homes and as she will laid up herself for a bit.
Please call us if you are interested. We will take your info and forward to the foster mom.

Proud to introduce you to an "old" friend of ours who is officially a Doctor!
Dr. Jonah Wisen graduated from WSU College of Veterinary Medicine last Sunday!
We've bragged on him before, but he truly is remarkable! Dr. Wisen graduated at the top of his class. He was recently recognized with an award as a top senior for his dedication and service to his college and community at the Dr. Winfred A. Jordan awards.
He has a bright future ahead of him in St. Louis where he has accepted a position in Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care!
We wish you and the rest our new graduate colleagues all the best! Well done Dr. Wisen!

π£Confirmed Case of Tick Paralysis with a full recovery!
It's already been a bad tick year. Ticks are often found in tall grasses and attach to the fur of pets and eventually burrow into the skin of pets anywhere, but prefer the neck and ear area.
Tick paralysis while uncommon, is caused by a salivary neurotoxin found in several species of ticks. It can occur in pets as well as humans. Symptoms may start as acute difficulty walking but will progress to full paralysis and eventually can cause respiratory failure and death.
Individuals (both pet and human) should be checked for Ticks after recreating in known tick areas like tall grasses. Pets should be treated with a reputable Tick treatment through typical external parasite seasons or ideally year round for full prevention.
This case is one reason why preventive Tick medication is imperative for pets who live in areas like ours. We have seen a surge in Ticks in not only tall grass areas but in well groomed yards in town, so your address is no deterent for a critter with legs who can catch a ride on any grass or animal. π
Happy to report this case who came in unable to walk left standing and made a full recovery in a couple days after having almost 30 attached ticks removed and receiving tick treatment.
Ask your vet for a specific preventive recommendation. Not all are created equally or appropriate pending the pets medical history and species.

This Sweet Girl needs a home!
A wonderful client of ours yesterday found 3 pups wandering near cashmere canyons. This sweet 4-5mo female pup she calls Zoe, was the only one she could catch. She is underweight, had a tick removed, has flea/tick/heartworm on board, dewormed and received her first vaccination today. Our client is caring for her but it's not a long term option to keep her given her other alpha females.
She looks to be an Australian Shep mix, maybe a little husky in there? A DNA test would be fun to find out her pedigree. π
If you are interested in giving her a home please let us know! She was very calm in the clinic and enjoyed her belly rubs. Once she has proper nutrition it will be great to see how her coat improves. Also if you live in Cashmere keep your eye out for two other roaming pups, one is tri color (blk/bwn/wht) and one in between the light and tri color.
