Adoption spotlight: handsome Krampus!
Krampus has been with us since late November of last year, when he came to us from a large colony living in Webster. He had an injury so he had to stay with us for a while, so he got settled in and actually decided he likes the indoor life! He was shy and quiet at first, but now he’s a lounging guy who just enjoys the simple things. He likes to lay in his cozy beds, get great food, and enjoys company of people. He may never be a lap cat, but he certainly enjoys attention and to play nowadays!
If you’d like to give Krampus a chance at a nice indoor home where he never has to worry about where his next meal is coming from, please come meet him during open hours on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 4-7 and Saturdays from 10-1!

Happy Forever Friday! This week we have an update from a fan-favorite girl who found a home rather quickly! Read below for the update from Lulu’s forever family:
“Lulu came home with us on Wednesday afternoon and she's all settled in. She's getting along well with her beagle and 3 feline brothers. She loves the multiple cat perches and crinkle tunnels, and especially the screened-in catio. She was actually communicating with a cat-bird up in the tree today. It was hilarious.
This girl has a VORACIOUS appetite. She will have no problem putting on weight. She's the perfect addition to the pack and our family 😍”
Thank you for the update and for adopting this sweet girl!

It’s National Hug Your Cat Day! Please share pictures of you hugging your cats (with their permission preferably!) !!
Please enjoy my photos of my cats being hugged, some happily, some confused-ly. Both black cats and the small light grey one are CCC alumni, and the orange and dark grey are adopted from other shelters.

Adoption Spotlight : silly Sebastian!
Sebastian has been in our care now for just over a YEAR. He came to us as an owner surrender who did not like small children, and that part is still true. He was very cage-aggressive and unpredictable while in the shelter, and had been through a lot in his time with us at the CCC. He was taken in as a foster by one of our very best volunteers, a lifesaver really, and now he is a completely different cat!
He loves to play, a LOT, and must be adopted into a home that can give him time and attention to get all his energy out in constructive ways through play and exercise. He likes other cats and does well with cats that are indifferent or willing to show him that he can’t boss them around. He loves to run and jump to play, so wand toys are a must!
If Sebastian sounds like a good fit for you, please fill out an adoption application on our website (https://thecommunitycatconnection.org/our-pets-1 ) and if approved, we can coordinate a meeting with his foster.

Happy Monday, and Happy June!!! This week we have a few new kitties for you, and a few have gone home. Gourd went home but, as you may have seen our BOLO post, escaped from a window and is missing- please send positive thoughts that he finds his way home, and please let us know if you have seen him! Kris, Oreo, and Chocolate & S’mores went home, and new kitty Domino is on deposit.
New kitties this week are Thistle and Jazzy. Thistle was brought to us as a friendly stray that was not getting along with the finder’s cats. She may very well be best as an only cat, but we do not know how she is with children or dogs. She is very pretty! Jazzy was an owner surrender who should be the only cat in a quiet home. She is currently decompressing so we will look forward to getting to know her a little better once she settles in.
Come down to meet our adoptable kitties and maybe you’ll find your purrfect match! Open hours are as always Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 4-7 and Saturday from 10-1.

Come meet some special kitties of the more robust kind! Some of these guys are on a diet to get their figure back, and others are “just fluffy”! Either way, they’re beautiful and lovely, and all are looking for their forever homes.
Come meet all our adoptable kitties during open hours- Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday from 4-7 and Saturday 10-1!
Happy Forever Friday! Today we have a wonderful update from our special Howey girl’s forever home! Please read below and watch the adorable video put together by her new family:
“Princess Wisparella Howabelle is doing amazing and adjusting so well! She has officially met everyone in the house, and they are all getting along and slowly getting to know each other. She is truly the sweetest cat we have ever had 💕😸she gives us daily snuggles and kisses and is such a loving little girl. She has been using her litter box consistently with only the occasional dropling, had her first checkup already and is absolutely thriving. She is such a socialized, affectionate sweetie pie thanks to all the love and care from her foster mom Rae.”
Thank you for the update and for adopting this sweet special girl!

Spotlight Post: Adopt Olive & Martini!
These two pretty girls have been waiting for a home since November of last year. They have been shown in a spotlight post before, but they have not had any interest- poor girls! They are a bonded pair of young adult kitties who must to be adopted together into a shy cat-experienced home that will give them as much time and space as they need to allow them to thrive and settle in. They were previously adopted and returned due to it not being a good fit for them or the family. They do not like young children and we do not know how they would be with dogs, but seem to be fine with other friendly cats. Maybe another cat can show them that they don’t need to be afraid of people and not everyone is untrustworthy!
We do not know what they experienced in their lives before they came to us, so a lot of patience and understanding is necessary for them to settle in. You can see the difference in their facial expressions that they are much more open and engaging now- the photos of them during intake are where their eyes are very dilated and now, they look much more friendly and interested in attention!
Please come meet them and perhaps you’ll fall in love with these two pretty girls! They can be seen during open hours each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 4-7 and Saturdays from 10-1.
