We will be missing Tim Coffield and Karen Machia Coffield on our team this weekend for the first time in probably 14 yrs we will Miss them both!!! Keep Tim in your prayers as he's going through some health issues... Love u bud won't be the same without you being there!!!

Wow what a weekend!! Started the weekend off with a win in the time trials with an average speed of 138.89 MPH. Boat went the fastest its ever gone at 168 mph top speed.Hurt a motor on Saturday that put us behind in points for the final in lane 5. Jeff Bernard got a great start and the boat responded to the changes we made for the final. She took off and finished 1st. Scott Kropfeld,Michael Winer,Kinsley,Brandon, Josh,Tim Karen you guts never complain and worked on the boat all weekend and tried to make it faster every time out. I truly have the best team behind me. Thanks to Tony and Dave DAlessandro for trucking the GP #79 all over the country for me I appreciate it. Thanks to Roger Mahan and the guys at the engine shop for working all summer to keep my engines going. To Jeff Bernard you are one great driver Thanks for having confidence in me and the team and putting your life on the line every time you get into the boat. You deserve this one everyone got to see what kind of driver you are when we can give you a competitive piece to drive. To Richard W Bethune and RSTZ TRANSPORT and Jonathan Thompson and Reliable Diamond tool Thanks for your continuing support without you guys I wouldn't be able to do it. And last but not least Julie Gamache Caler for letting me live my childhood dream and supporting me through the good and bad timed LOVE YOU # # #. And to everyone that has helped us over the years Mike Weber ,Warwick Lupton, George Kennedy etc thanks for all you have done for me. All in all a good weekend for GP79. Had a few issues with the motor and setup in the time trials and 1st heat but came up with a big win in the 2nd heat. Sundays heats were canceled for wind and rain. We felt that we had a good setup for the 3rd heat against the 35 and the 33 but it didn't happen. Big thanks to Jonathan Thompson and Reliable Diamond tool and RSTZ Transport for your support without u guys we wouldn't be able to do this. On to San Diego in 2 weeks for our last event of the year. Special thanks to Roger Mahan and the boys at Mahan Motorsports for the great HP. We will see all of our GPA friends next week. It's shaping up to be an EPIC event with 12 committed GRAND PRIX HYDROPLANES!! GPA WILL BE BRINGING THE THUNDER TO SAN DIEGO!!! Great job by the GPA Board for bringing the boats!!
