Mach 1 Track

This morning we got to do our annual Mach 1 water sprints workout !! It was a really fun workout and a beautiful morning to do so !!

Today was day 4 and last day of the AAU District Qualifier meet at Arlington UTA. The younger 800 m Mach 1 runners ran this morning. Starting the morning off was Josephine Heady in the girls 9U where she ran a time of 3:20 and got 10th place. Next was Bear Wilberts in the boys 9U where he got a time of 2:58 and got 10th place and Miguel Martinez ran a PR of 2:36 and finished 1st place !
Finally Liam Pennington ran a time of 3:21. Great week for Mach 1 !!

Day 3 of the AAU District Qualifying meet at Arlington UTA. This morning was the 1,500m for the 13 & over age groups. First up was Kambria Evans she placed 5th in the 13 yr. old girls with a time of 6:29. Josh Fink was next in the boys 15-16 age group and he ended getting 10th place with a time of 4:41. Then Cole Bettger ran in the boys 17-18 age group and finished 2nd with a time of 4:17. Finally Britain Rutherford ran the boys 17-18 boys 400 m and finished with a time of .58.19.

Day 2 of the AAU District Qualifier meet at Arlington UTA. This morning our 12 & under athletes ran the 1,500 m. Josephine Heady kicked off the day with a 5th place finish and a time of 6:46 in the girls 9 yr. Old age group. Then it was the boys 9 yr. old age group with Miguel Martinez grabbing 2nd place with a time of 5:24 right behind him Bear Wiberts came in 4th place with a time of 6:03. Next up was Jenna Fink in the girls 11yr. Old age group where she won 1st place and also setting a new PR of 5:29 which she could not believe she ran. After her was the boys 11yr. old age group where Malachi Dolan ran a 5:15 which put him in 4th place and Liam Pennington ran a 7:03 and finished 8th place. Lincoln Coffey finished the day with a time of 6:12 ( 12th place ) in the boys 12 yr. old age group. We had a great morning !! Way to go Mach 1 !!! Ohh almost forgot Miguel Martinez also placed 5th overall in boys 9U open 400m with a time of 1:10 great job !!

Today was day one of the AAU District Qualifiers meet at Arlington UTA. All the 3,000m runners competed today along with our race walkers. First Jenna Fink started off by placing 1st in the girls 11 yr. Old age group with a time of 11:46. Then it was Malachi Dolan’s turn to win the boys 11 yr. old age group with a time of 11:24. Salene Lanham placed 3rd in the girls 12 yr. old age group with a time of 15:19. Then it was the girls 13 yr. old age group Kambria Evans placed 4th with a time of 13:41 and Corrinna Lanham placed 5th with a time of 15:05. After that Josh Fink took 1st in the boys 15-16 age group with a time of 10:02. In the boys 17-18 age group Cole Bettger got 2nd with a time of 9:33 and Britain Rutherford got 6th with a time of 12:33. To finish up the day for Mach 1 was Jenna Fink who won her girls 11 yr. old age group in the 1,500 m race walk with a time of 9:14 and then Josh Fink was the closer for the day with a first place in his 15-16 age group 3.000 m race walk with a time of 15:03 ! Way to go Mach 1 on day one !

Today was a great day to run hills ! These athletes know how to work hard !!

Congratulations to Josh Fink !! Yesterday he competed at the New Balance Nationals Indoor meet in Boston. Josh ended up getting 2nd overall in the 1,600m racewalk and also along with the first place Ian Britt both broke the meet record. This guy puts in the work and it shows !! Great job !!! Josh !!!

Today was signing day for Granbury High School, and Mach 1 is proud of Gannon Dolan, who has committed to Dallas Baptist, where he will continue to run track and cross-country. Mach 1 really enjoyed coaching Gannon as he goes down as one of the most decorated runners for the club. Congratulations Gannon !!

We just finished our cross country season. We had 6 athletes running at the AAU Cross country Junior Olympics in Knoxville,Tennessee. Congratulations to Miguel Martinez who placed our highest place getting 4th place in his age group. Ryker Reis , Jenna Fink and Machi Dolen all placed in their age groups. Sophia Rodriguez and Steven Henshaw also ran !

This morning some of the Mach 1 runners ran the Pumpkin Spice 5k in Fort Worth. Congratulations to Sophia Rodriguez she got 2nd overall female with a time of 22:52. Steven Hinshawgot 3rd overall male with a time of 18:00. Nate Favela got a PR of 21:47
Lincoln Coffey ran a 22:09 and Britain Rutherford got 8 th overall with a time of 20:17. Great job guys !!
