𝗪𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀 and 𝑳𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝑺𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒄𝒌 𝑩𝒂𝒃𝒚 put in solid runs all week at the 2026 NRCHA Kimes Ranch Derby. Both horses showed up and competed every single time Jay McLaughlin took them in the pen.
Finals didn't happen this time, but both came home with a check in the Novice Horse Derby. Love Struck Baby earning $1,500 and Wicked Smarts earning $1,100.
This is what building a program looks like. Not every show ends the way you hope, but watching horses out of 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 and 𝐒𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐍𝐮 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐞 compete at this level makes it all worth it.
We're proud of these two. On to the next one.

Logan Alexander has shown him in the Buckaroo classes two years running. No months of preparation together; Logan gets on, takes him in the pen, and competes. Tee Boone adjusts every time like he understands exactly who's asking.
That's what we're breeding for at Eleven Bar Ranch.

Reyzin Peaches, out of our mare Shinin Peaches and bred here at Eleven Bar Ranch, scored a 219 in the rein work at the 2026 NRCHA Kimes Ranch Derby Open Bridle Spectacular with Clay Roeser.
It never gets old watching a horse you bred show up in the pen like that.
Reyzin Peaches is owned by Kalpowar Quarter Horses.
We are proud to have her representing the ranch.
They head into the cow work on Friday and we are looking forward to seeing what they do.

Arizona in June. The horses work hard and the heat is no joke.

This is the part that doesn't make the highlight reel, but it's just as important as what happens in the pen.
The way you care for them after the run says just as much as what happens during it. Thank you Jay for all you do for our horses!
Day one of the 2026 NRCHA Kimes Ranch Derby and the Eleven Bar Ranch horses came out ready.
Love Struck Baby scored a 218.5 and Wicked Smarts scored a 215.5 in the rein work, both putting in solid runs to kick off the week.

On this Memorial Day, we honor all those who served and remember the loved ones who shaped our lives through their service.
Today we remember Sandra's father, FD Henrichson, a World War II veteran and recipient of the Bronze Star Medal. He's one of the biggest reasons Sandra fell in love with horses, a passion that built Eleven Bar Ranch and everything we do here.
We're grateful for every veteran and their families who sacrificed so we could live in freedom and pursue what we love.
Congratulations to Clay Johnson and our very own Reychel Royce on placing first in the Intermediate Open 5/6 and second in the Open 5/6 at the Outback Cuttings.
Reychel Royce, out of Smart Nu Annie, continues to prove what her dam passes on, focus, athleticism, and the ability to handle the competition.
