If you’re installing a subwoofer system in a 2021+ Ford F-150 or 2023+ Ford Super Duty equipped with the factory B&O sound system, this is something that cannot be overlooked.

When you remove the factory B&O subwoofer, you’re left with a large opening in the back wall of the cab. That’s because the factory subwoofer actually vents to the outside of the truck.

We’ve seen a lot of installations where this opening is simply left exposed, allowing water, humidity, dust, dirt, road noise, and even exhaust fumes a direct path into the cab. Not only is it unprofessional, but it’s simply not the correct way to install a sound system.

That’s why we designed our gasketed aluminum Block-Off Plate specifically for these trucks. It completely seals the factory opening and includes all of the necessary hardware for a quick, factory style installation.

It’s one of those small details most people never see, but it’s exactly the kind of engineering that separates a proper installation from one that’s simply thrown together.

Ford F-150 & Super Duty B&O Plug & Play Integration!

One of the biggest mistakes we see on these trucks is people cutting, splicing, or tapping into random factory wires to get a signal for an aftermarket subwoofer amplifier.

Not only can this void the warranty on your brand new truck, but it’s also not the correct way to integrate with the factory B&O sound system.

In this video I’m showing how we do it using a Plug & Play T-harness and a Kicker KEYLOC.

Another issue a lot of people find out the hard way is the factory bass roll off. Ford intentionally reduces bass output as the volume increases to protect the factory speakers. If you simply tap into the speaker wires without correcting the signal, you’ll notice your subwoofers stop getting louder or even get quieter as you turn the radio up.

That’s where the Kicker KEYLOC comes in. It corrects the factory signal, restores the bass that Ford removed, and provides a clean, full range signal for your aftermarket amplifier. The result is a system that performs the way it should from low volume all the way to full volume.

Combined with the Plug & Play harness, everything installs without cutting a single factory wire, making the installation clean, reversible, and factory friendly.

One of the biggest things that separates our Plug & Play packages is everything you don’t see once the install is finished.

In this video I’m walking through our custom bolt-in amp rack and showing how our Plug & Play integration works on the 2019-2026 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra.

Our amp rack mounts directly to the factory studs behind the rear seat, keeping the amplifier securely mounted without drilling a single hole in the truck. Every wire is cut to length, routed cleanly, and hidden behind the seat for an OEM style installation.

Instead of cutting into the factory wiring, we use our custom Plug & Play T-harnesses that integrate directly with the factory Bose system. That means no cut wires, no butt connectors, no hacked wiring, and no permanent modifications to your truck.

We also designed our own Plug & Play terminal cup, making it easy to remove and reinstall the enclosure whenever you need access behind the rear seat without disconnecting speaker wires.
