“If I wanted Asheville vibes… without the price tag, I’d live in Waynesville. ⛰️✨

Think mountain views, walkable charm, local coffee shops, and that same artsy energy… just with more space and a smarter price point.

Why pay Asheville prices when you can get the lifestyle and the value?

I have tried to make this post for days, and honestly I think I am still in denial to an extent.

On Friday I made the hard decision to let Benson go. I think he hung on for months for us to let us heal a little from Copper. He has been so strong for me and Cora and I am not surprised at all as he has taken care of me since the day we got him back in 2011.

Our sweet craigslist puppy, Troy drove two hours each way to surprise me at work with this little underweight, scared puppy. He stayed on the other side of our apartment from us for a week. He had never been in a house, had a toy, or his own food so everything freaked him out (RIP our bedroom blinds).

He had several health issues when we got him and luckily at the time I worked at a vet clinic so I could afford the treatment and he got to sit on the desk with me every day. He traveled with us to Germany where he got his best friend, which he was very against at first but Copper quickly became his brother and they were inseparable until the end.

In Florida he became a big brother and from the time I was pregnant he was so protective over me and never left Novas side, and after she passed he never left mine. And when Cora came he guarded her despite her need to drool on him and grab him.

Benson was there with me for every major life event as an adult, the highest highs, and the lowest lows. My soul dog, my protector, advisor, my best friend. Thank you for always taking care of me, you did so good. Run free sweet boy, go play with Copper, and give Nova all the kisses for me. 💔🐾
