MR Structures, LLC is a small structural engineering consulting firm located south of Pittsburgh, PA. We have an immediate opening for an entry level structural engineer. Typical projects that we work on include residential and commercial buildings, K-12, higher education, light industrial, and steel detailing. We are currently searching for a young engineer to replace one of our engineers who will be attending graduate school in the fall. The successful candidate will be exposed to design of many different types of building structures with various materials, positioning the candidate well to successfully pass their PE test. The successful candidate must be absolutely honest and comfortable and productive working alone; which may allow the candidate the opportunity to work remotely part time after enough office experience. MR Structures has a casual and flexible work environment to encourage the professional growth and success of our employees.

Minimum job requirements:
- 0-5 years of project experience
- Bachelors of Architectural or Civil Engineering (Structural Option)
- Detail oriented
- Successfully passed the FE and will be a registered EIT after graduation
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Experience with structural analysis software
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent verbal and technical writing skills
- Steel connection design experience
- Knowledge of current structural code requirements

Job Responsibilities:
- Perform structural analysis of new and existing structures
- Steel connection design
- Steel detailing
- Preparation of working construction drawings from start to finish
- Review and reply to shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs
- Site visits to observe existing conditions or verify adherence to structural drawings
- Attend meetings with owners, architects, contractors, and engineers
- Travel is infrequent and most is within two hours of the office
