Sycamore Spring Farm

Eggs are out on the self-serve stand today! Fresh produce will be coming back later this week. We apologize for a lack of selection on the stand for the past week. A broken arm sure sets farm work back some!

Make hay while the sun shines! When it's hay season, we pull from all the generations of the original farm owners Lloyd and Virginia Martin. Their son, grandson, great grandsons, and great great grandchildren are all helping get the hay in this week. (Thanks to another of their grandsons for allowing us to borrow his square baler when ours broke down!)

"How would you like the hay raked?"
"Pappy, you've done this field more times than any other person on this farm. Use your farmer knowledge because I have no idea."

For 80 years now he's been living on this farm, and still helps us rake while the men are off at their Monday-Friday jobs to make sure we have unsprayed hay for our Grass Fed Beef over the winter months.

YIKES! Did you know that most Fridays we have discount produce out? Discount produce is produce that might not have sold the first day, or whose quality isn't full price-worthy. Perhaps it's spinach that's a little wilted, mint that has it's ends a little black from being underwater, or (when in season) tomatoes with blemishes.
