Wayne State Curling Club

We are excited to announce that we have been invited to attend the USA Curling College National Championship in Fargo, ND!

WSC had a great time at Kettle Moraine this weekend!

Rice Lake Bonspiel Day 1:

Wayne State won their match today against Green Bay 2, but fell short against Steven’s Point and UNL 1

On to Day 2!

WSC 1 finished as First Event Runner Up to Minnesota. Final score : 9-2

Wayne 1 defeated Green Bay 8-2. Wayne 1 has advanced to the First Event Final tomorrow at 9am.

This weekend we co-hosted a curling bonspiel at Baxter arena with UNL and Creighton which brought in 16 teams total. Wayne State took two full teams, a split team with UNL, and sent a player to join Oklahoma's team. Team 1 was Tucker, Kalan, Simon, and Hannah V. Team 2 was Jesse, Emerson, Sam, and Abby. Hannah W and Colin represented WSC on the split team and Stephanie played with Oklahoma! We had many wins and played great. Go curling!!

Team Wayne 1 lost a neck to neck game going to the 8th end against Marquette. Now team 2 against NDSU. Let's go cats!!

The Wayne State College Curling Club has taken their first wins of the year here at the Minnesota University Bonspiel!! Team 1 (Tucker, Emerson, Mason, and Stephanie) played against Oklahoma University. Team 2 (Kalan, Simon, Travis, and Dalton) played against the University of Minnesota!
