Blog Alert 🏗️ Building a Connected Simulation Program: Unifying Video, Debrief, Assessment, and Insights https://hubs.li/Q04lK4Bt0
Healthcare simulation programs are being asked to do more than run effective learning events. Leaders need to support faculty, improve learner outcomes, document performance, demonstrate program value, and scale operations across increasingly complex environments.
🤝 That becomes harder when video, debrief, assessment, and reporting live in separate places.
Read on as we explore how connected simulation platform brings those elements together so educators can spend less time managing fragmented workflows and more time improving learning. Click here >> https://hubs.li/Q04lK4Bt0

🚑 Overview: Large scale mass casualty incident (MCI) simulations present unique design, logistical, and educational challenges for simulation teams. This session presents a reflective, practical overview of an Interprofessional Mass Casualty Incident Simulation, framed as a how to guide for simulation professionals. We will explore key elements of preparation, including scenario design, stakeholder coordination, resource management, and faculty readiness. The ex*****on of the event will be examined through an operational lens, highlighting real time adaptations, communication strategies, and emergent challenges. Finally, we will reflect on lessons learned, unanticipated outcomes, and practical recommendations to inform future large scale MCI simulation planning and delivery.
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
1. Describe the essential planning components required to design and coordinate a large-scale interprofessional mass casualty incident simulation.
2. Apply practical recommendations from a large-scale MCI simulation to inform the planning, implementation, and evaluation of future simulation-based disaster exercises.

📔 Healthcare education students must be equipped to handle challenging student interactions in both one-on-one and classroom settings. While strategies for classroom management are often taught didactically, opportunities to practice these skills in a safe, structured environment are limited during graduate training.
This presentation will highlight the development and implementation of a scaffolded simulation program designed for Master of Science in Nursing Education (MNE) students to practice crucial conversations within a psychologically safe environment.
