Today in class, our dancers explored Horton technique while reflecting on what they’re grateful for 🧡🍂
As we move closer to Thanksgiving, students used gratitude as inspiration — transforming their reflections into group choreography built from intention, connection, and joy.

We are deeply thankful for our students and the safe space we share with them every day —
a place to grow,
a place to move and create,
a place to be seen, heard, and supported,
a place to be with the people who feel like home.

Gratitude in motion. ✨

✨ National Honor Society for Dance Arts ✨
Our NHSDA members choreographed, rehearsed, and presented “Sing, Sing, Sing” during our Veterans Day Assembly. 💃🇺🇸

Giving back through our art is at the heart of our mission — using our gifts to connect, inspire, and express gratitude. This was a truly special opportunity to dance and say thank you to all who have served.

Always so proud to represent PCTVS and the incredible connection our students continue to maintain with our community. ❤️💙

✨ Reason to Dance in the CTE Dance Program: To Build Your Career ✨
We loved having Kimberly Almonte (Class of 2024) back in the studio! 💃 Kimberly shared her journey with our dancers and taught an awesome class to our underclassmen.

Now a sophomore at Fairleigh Dickinson University, she’s studying Forensic Psychology and performing on the competitive cheer team 🖤💜

We’re so proud to see our alumni continuing to use their dance training, confidence, and discipline as they build their futures both in and beyond the arts! 🌟

🎃🖤 Halloween... but make it Horton. 🖤🎃
Our Dance Program students took inspiration from spooky season and the precision of Horton Modern technique to create eerie, expressive shapes and haunting transitions. 👻✨
From flat backs to “spooky laterals,” creativity was in full motion — proving that technique + imagination = magic. 🩰💀

✨ No reason to dance in high school… except to build your career. ✨

Our dancers had the incredible opportunity to take class with Daniel Padierna, professor at Adelphi University! 💫 Students not only took class with him but also got to ask questions and learn more about what it’s like to study dance in college.

We’re helping our dancers dream bigger, prepare for their next steps, and see just how many paths the arts can open. 🎓💃🕺

Thanks to Duane West for an inspirational presentation for our freshmen dancers. Bonus that we got to see his dance moves!

✨ Today, the National Honor Society for Dance Arts hosted a Works in Progress session — an incredible opportunity to share, create, and grow together. Experiences like these remind us how vital the arts are, building community, connection, and support. 💫

Our NHSDA chapter’s mission is to provide students throughout the entire PCTVS community with access to dance and the opportunity to experience the power of the arts firsthand.

Moments like this truly show why the arts matter. 🎭❤️
