Our thoughts are with our neighbors in the Village of Bartlett and the residents impacted by the tornado damage near Stearns Road and Route 59 following last night’s storms. We are grateful that the Village of Wayne was spared significant damage, with no major issues reported last night. The previous evening’s storm had a greater impact locally, including downed trees on Glos Road and Army Trail Road, just west of Munger Road. This serves as an important reminder to take weather warnings seriously and remain alert to guidance from local weather services. We are attaching the map we previously posted identifying the tornado siren locations that cover the Village of Wayne.

We hope you navigated the first round of storms this afternoon without incident. Appreciation is extended to our Public Works Department for their prompt response, in the rain, while clearing a downed tree on Glos St. A second round of storms is expected later this evening. Stay safe!
