We had a great day servicing Vidalia City School Nutrition today! Everywhere we went, everyone was counting down the days and getting excited for summer break.

Ms. Susan at JD Dickerson Primary is retiring after 16 years of dedication, and this is also Denise Parson’s final year as director. They will both truly be missed!

Today my son was rescued from malnutrition and hunger by our School Lunch Heroes! There wasn’t a hungry kid in site! These ladies were the answer to hunger and child obesity by giving my son and the other children a nutritious and delicious meal that’s affordable! After a hard day of work and a full belly, he passed out!

Thank you School Lunch Heroes! Seriously though, the service you provide to your community is underrated, unsung, and looked over. When you feed a child that can’t feed themselves, you do a service that only God can reward. I’ve heard so many stories in SOO many lunch rooms about kids coming back from summer starved and malnourished. And you come in and give these precious children the only meal that they might have that day. I see y’all, and more importantly, God sees you.

I just ran into one of my favorite customers at Sam’s Club in Valdosta! Vickey Reed of Lowndes County Schools! Love this lady for 17 years now!

A little birdie told me that Mrs Mary Ann is retiring and I had to go by and see her before she does! 30 years this lady has been serving her community! It’s been such a blessing to know her. 17 years is a long time to know someone. She’ll be missed!
