🌟 Putting the Pieces Together: One-Stop Community Stakeholder Meeting Recap! 🌟
On October 21, 2025, WorkSource Southern Georgia, in partnership with One-Stop Coordinator Tony McKenzie of In the Door, hosted the first-ever One-Stop Community Stakeholder Meeting at the Valdosta Career Center.
Themed “The Missing Puzzle Piece: Putting the Pieces Together,” this event brought together community partners, service providers, and leaders from across our 18-county Southern Georgia region to strengthen collaboration and share resources that help job seekers, employers, and communities thrive.
🤝 Attendees included partners from:
Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency (GVRA)
Wiregrass Georgia Technical College
Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS)
Coastal Plain Area EOA, Inc.
Lowndes Family Connection
And many other dedicated organizations serving our communities!
💬 Participants explored ways to:
✅ Strengthen referral systems between agencies
✅ Raise awareness of workforce and community services
✅ Build collaborative strategies to reduce employment barriers
The feedback was overwhelmingly positive — and we’re excited to keep the momentum going at our next meeting on January 20, 2026, at the SGRC Office in Waycross, Georgia.
Together, we’re building a stronger, more connected Southern Georgia workforce network! 💼✨

WorkSource Southern Georgia staff participated in the Ware County High School Youth Summit, held at South Georgia State College on Friday, September 26th. The event, sponsored by Memorial Satilla Health and South Georgia State College and facilitated by the South Georgia Healthcare Group, brought together more than 80 Ware County High School students. The goal of the summit was to inspire students and introduce them to exciting healthcare career pathways.
