We are shouting CONGRATULATIONS to our 2022 TEACHER OF THE YEAR-Mrs. Christan Bush!!!

Mrs. Bush is an extraordinary teacher! She makes learning fun and engaging, she’s very knowledgeable about her content, and is always kind and respectful. Her wit is also pretty hard to beat! She is the BETA Club advisor, helped kickstart Bridge to Success(to help students better prepare for college and careers) and also organizes and runs the school’s food pantry. She comes in extremely early and stays late, and often uses her own money to provide for students or the organizations she helps lead. She is forward thinking and has tons of great ideas to help our students and never expects any recognition for all of her hard work or volunteer hours. She is a great mentor, colleague and friend.

Student Council and PBIS loved getting to treat the staff to an Easter Egg Hunt around the school. Let me just say we have some “egg”cellent hiders, and this school has way more hiding places than you could ever imagine. 🐣🐰💐

Shout out to Mr. Ross Bedford and the WCHS Stream Team for steaming the whole game and capturing the homecoming court festivities as the WCHS took on the Banneker Trojans in the first round of state playoffs!
