Been going at this non stop since 4am yesterday morning. The amount of coffee that's been consumed is unreal.

We'll be continuing to work all through the night and into the early morning.

We're expecting to be caught up by tomorrow evening. Lots of orders are almost ready, just waiting on 1 out 2 flavors to finish up before shipping out.

We'll be bumping up some orders to priority mail service if you've been waiting a good while/to make sure you get things before you head out of town, or will be tossing in some extra jerky/trail mix for your patience.

We are fully aware that we've been running behind on most orders due to our recent surge in popularity, and this surge has increased our order to fulfillment time by about 50% over the past 2 weeks, but want to assure everyone that this is being addressed.

We've invest in more equipment and implemented a new slotting system to ensure we can manage all the orders we're currently receiving.

If you have any questions or concerns about your pending order, please feel free to reach out. We intend to make everything as hassle free as possible, especially going forward in regards to our turnaround times.

You guys are keeping us so busy, we're having to resort to using our older left over product bags until our next shipment gets in. Those older ones aren't as Gucci 😔

One of the upsides of this surge is that nearly every order is being made fresh, just the way we want it. But with that comes a tradeoff — it’s currently causing longer processing and shipping times than we’d like.

We’ve seen a lot of you say “it’s worth the wait,” and we truly appreciate that. That said, we’re actively working on scaling and improving our workflow so we can get your orders out faster without compromising quality.

We’re dialing it in — and we’re not slowing down anytime soon.

Weather Update from Cedar Valley Cuts

A major winter storm is expected to impact much of the Upper Midwest this weekend, including here in Waverly, Iowa. With blizzard conditions and high winds forecast Sunday through Monday morning, we’ll be taking a precautionary step on our end.

We will be pausing production during the storm window to reduce the risk of product loss if power outages occur.

In addition, the same storm system is expected to impact transportation across the Midwest and Great Lakes. Orders already in transit may experience delays with USPS and other carriers as weather conditions develop.

Once conditions improve, we’ll resume normal production and shipping as quickly as possible.

Hello all,

Over the past few weeks we’ve seen a pretty big surge in demand, and we’ve also brought on four new wholesale customers, with a fifth pending.

Because of that, order processing has been running a little longer than our usual turnaround.

The upside is that almost everything right now is being made fresh within 24–48 hours of a new order coming in, sometimes even less, which is honestly the way we like it; as recent feedback has shown that customers have began to notice this freshness immediately without us having mentioned anything about it.

To help keep things clear, we’ll also start tagging certain items on our website when they’re in especially high demand or being made fresh to order, along with a small notice if fulfillment times may be a little longer than usual.

Additionally, we will work on reflecting these potential extended times in our checkout process to ensure customers aren't caught off guard.

We’re continuing to scale production so things smooth out again soon.

In the meantime, thank you all for the continued support. We really do appreciate it.

We got a last-minute invite to sell at the Waterloo Gun Show this weekend — and said yes.

We scrambled, deployed our POS system for its first real event, worked through a couple small kinks, and were incredibly well received.

We were invited to attend additional shows across Iowa, landed a new wholesale customer on the spot, and introduced a whole new group of people to Cedar Valley Cuts. We are very thankful for this opportunity.

And yes… our Brown Sugar Cinnamon Bacon Jerky stole the show. To anyone who just developed a new addiction to it — we apologize, kinda.
