Grateful for the incredible business partners who support our Exploration of Health Sciences and Medicine course through the Waukee APEX program! 🙌
Through our partnership with WesleyLife, associates lead exercise classes and build meaningful connections with older adults working to stay active and healthy.
We also collaborate with the Dallas County Public Health Department through ISTEP and Pick A Better Snack. These experiences allow our associates to educate students on the risks of smoking and va**ng while also promoting healthy nutrition habits in elementary classrooms.
These partnerships bring real-world learning to life in our Exploration of Health Sciences and Medicine course while allowing us to serve our community in meaningful ways.

Architecture & Engineering student-associates put their designs to the test in the WILC, racing 3D-printed, propeller-powered cars they engineered from the ground up. Through this hands-on challenge, the team applied 3D modeling software, explored electrical power systems, and refined mechanical design concepts while engaging in the full engineering design process from concept to competition.

The Waukee APEX & CTE Showcase takes place on May 4th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the WILC. Our student-associates from every course are prepared to demonstrate the professional skills they have developed in our studios, labs, and workshops.
We invite our community to join our instructors and teams for this annual event to see the impressive projects and industry collaborations that help define the work-based learning experience in Waukee.

Exercise Science got the opportunity to participate in yoga and meditation with Above and Beyond Cancer participants. ABC serves individuals in all stages of their cancer journey. It was an amazing experience!
