Insight Vision Waukee is closed today in observance of Labor Day. We will be open tomorrow for our normal office hours.

Has your child seen an optometrist yet for his or her back-to-school eye exam? In fact, state laws in Iowa mandate these exams at 2 specific ages:

1. Before starting kindergarten
2. Prior to starting 3rd grade

As children grow, their eyes are growing at the same time, which can mean their eyesight can change, too. It's just as important for parents to keep current with their kids' routine eye exams as it is to take them to their primary care doctor. Neglecting these exams can cause further problems in a child's performance at school or create behavioral problems that may otherwise go unnoticed.
