Okay, we KNOW it's not a big deal right now, but experienced travelers know that there's a definite difference between "Florida" and "SOUTH Florida"...and that difference is more noticeable the longer into the season you get. Just sayin'...

Fossil hunters know that fall-winter are great fossil hunting seasons along the Peace River and Little Charlie Creek, due to lower water levels. And while you'll need to get a permit to harvest vertebrate fossils, you do NOT need a permit for Megalodon and other fossilized shark teeth...which you have a decent chance of finding!
