🌿 Job Opportunity in Hardee County! 🌿
The Hardee County UF/IFAS Extension Office is currently hiring an Extension Agent I–IV – Residential Horticulture. This is a 12-month, permanent faculty position focused on educating the community about residential landscapes, horticulture, and research-based practices that help create healthy environments and communities.

📚 Qualifications:
A Master’s degree is preferred with at least 5 years of Extension experience (or equivalent). Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree working toward a Master’s degree are also encouraged to apply.

🌱 Position Responsibilities Include:
• 50% – Residential horticulture programming, including Mosquito
Control and Florida-Friendly Landscaping programs
• 45% – Leading the Hardee County Master Gardener Volunteer
(MGV) Program
• 5% – Supporting the 4-H youth program through horticulture-
related activities

💻 Ideal candidates should be able to:
• Use computers and apply social media to their work
• Organize and motivate people
• Manage volunteers and work effectively in teams
• Demonstrate skills in strategic planning, project management,
and adaptability
• Manage multiple priorities and respond to unexpected situations
