Mount Merici Academy is an Ursuline School serving children from age six weeks through Eighth-grade Angela Merici, foundress of the Ursuline Sisters.
Our Mission:
Mount Merici Academy, a Catholic school, is dedicated to nurturing the whole child - mind, body, and spirit - providing love and guidance so that students can achieve their personal best. In partnership with families, our mission is to instill the values of respect, responsibility, and self-discipline, teaching students in the Ursuline Serviam tradition of service to our community and the world. Ursuline Educational Mission:
At the heart of Ursuline education is the Gospel call to mission and the living spirit of St. Grounded in this call and in this spirit, Ursuline education is relationship-centered, with attentiveness to and respect for the unique gifts, potential, and needs of each individual. It is an educational vision that fosters the development of the whole person – spirit, mind, and body – in a nurturing community environment. As Jesus and St. Angela were both attuned to the needs of those around them, Ursuline education seeks to form servant-leaders, open to and engaged in the ever-changing global reality in which they are called to live and serve.
The students here at Mount Merici Academy can’t wait for 40th Annual Harvest Fair. Lucky for them the wait is nearly over! Come join us this Friday and Saturday! Games, inflatables, laser tag, haunted house, prizes, silent auction, yummy treats, and so much more 🍂🥧🧡
A big thank you to Ms. Young for another amazing book fair! The students were filled with excitement as they selected new books to add to their collections. It’s always so fun seeing the children’s love of reading grow 📚❤️

🐦 Second Grade Science in Action! 🌿
Our second graders have been busy learning all about animal characteristics and habitats in science! Recently, we focused on birds and explored what different birds eat and how their unique characteristics help them get their food.
👷♂️Then, our students became engineers! Using what they learned, they designed and built prototype bird feeders specifically suited to the needs of their assigned bird.
🐦🔨 This hands-on activity encouraged students to put their learning into action while practicing creativity, problem-solving, critical thinking, and engineering skills. We loved seeing their ideas come to life!
We are so proud of the thoughtful, creative work happening in second grade! 💙🤍
