Longtime friends and former classmates at Syracuse University, David Boronkay and Leah Cohen Lamkin bring a wide breadth design experience to their new collaboration. SHDG offers clients personal contact and a passion for exceptional design and detail; specializing in additions, renovations and new construction of Residential and small Commercial projects.
Dating back to the 1860s, this Newton farmhouse presented a unique opportunity for transformation. The property originally comprised a 1,800-square-foot main house and a separate barn with a garage and screened porch. The renovation stripped the home to its exterior shell, allowing for a complete rethinking of the interior layout. A modern addition was introduced to connect the two historic structures, creating a cohesive residence that balances contemporary living with the character of the original farmhouse.

Designed for longtime clients as a place to gather with family and friends throughout the year, this Orleans lake house was envisioned as a home that felt effortless, relaxed, and deeply connected to its surroundings. Perched prominently on a hill that overlooks the water, the residence was intentionally designed to maximize views from nearly every room, creating a constant visual connection to the landscape and allowing the natural setting to become a key feature of the overall design.
