Grandma asked Chelsea if she could put her hair into a ponytail. At first, Chelsea was hesitant, but she was quickly swayed because grandma had something special to help keep Chelsea's hair from falling... Chelsea couldn't resist it. Who knew getting hairspray could be so much fun?

Moments like this happen before we even know they have started. They are fleeting slices of life, but they tell a meaningful story about family and what it means to be loved... and I love to capture them.

Recently I worked on a project documenting a day at the life at Quincy Animal shelter. The volunteers there do amazing work for so many animals who need new homes and a second chance. It was such a pleasure to meet everyone there, and I was truly inspired by the work they do out of the great kindness of their hearts.
