North Country Libraries were well-represented at last week's Institute of Museum and Library Services Library Convening 250: Telling America’s Story in Washington, DC. This was an incredible and unique opportunity for staff from small, rural libraries to take part in a national event and to learn alongside librarians from throughout the nation and territories! Now that they're back home, we look forward to learning from them so their experience can benefit all North Country Libraries!

There's a lot happening behind the scenes at your local library! Each library is independently governed by a board of trustees, who guide the library's planning, policies and funding. Yesterday, NCLS staff, library directors and trustees met at The Gathering Barn at Old McDonald's Farm for a full day of learning about their roles as employers. Continuing education ensures that libraries keep growing, adapting, and improving!
