A big, wine-soaked THANK YOU to everyone who came to our recent Wine & Cheese Tasting! We're so pleased that everyone enjoyed the Alsatian wines as much as we do.

James and I had so much fun tasting and talking with all of you! It is always such a pleasure to engage with our guests - and every table at this event was full of lively conversation and excellent taste.

To the usual suspects, we're looking forward to seeing you! To anyone who hasn't attended a Local Bottle Club - it's always a lovely afternoon and we're pretty sure this is the most delicious selection so far!

Jason is making a steak-based pairing, and we'll be nerding out about Pot Stills, Sherry Casks, and our general love of Irish Whiskey.

You've got three days to snag your tickets to our Sunday, 5/31 event!

2PM, four glasses of delicious French wine, four local cheeses from the fabulous , plenty of pairing flavors - only $40!

We've got a light, refreshing Pinot Blanc, a complex Gewürztraminer, and TWO killer versions of a Cremant - we're particularly excited about the Brut Rosé!

The Local Sixty-Three will be CLOSED Sunday, 5/24 through Wednesday, 5/27. We will re-open at noon on Thursday, 5/28.

Today is the last day this week to come in a grab your favorite sandwich, local draft beer, or killer craft cocktail.

Note - we will also be closed Saturday, July 4th, and 9/6-9/9 for Labor Day! Have fun and be safe this weekend, y'all!

Aw, SHUCKS!

Our fabulous mongers, Kate & Zack from New Curds on the Block and To the Gills respectively, want you all to know that Kent Falls SHUCKS is going on draft tonight at The Local!

This crisssspy Pilsner is brewed with a TON of oyster shells - courtesy of Zack himself - providing delicious salinity and minerality. They brought us a sample can just as fresh as can be, and we immediately ordered a keg (like we do every time they make it!)

TWO EVENTS YOU REALLY SHOULDN'T MISS!

Tickets are available online and in-house for our 2PM 5/31 Wine & Cheese Tasting and our 4PM 6/7 Local Bottle Club event! Scroll for images of the goods, the wine / liquor nerds, and past cheese plates!

The tickets for the Wine & Cheese Tasting are $40, and include four glasses of wine - this time we're exploring wines from the Alsace region of France! Each wine will be paired with a local cheese plate, and you'll have a chance to snag a bottle or two to take home for a great price point if you happen to fall in love! We are about 1/3 sold on this so get your tickets now as seating is limited!

The Local Bottle Club is featuring the AMAZING Redbreast Lustau Edition (from their Iberian Collection) and it's only $30 a ticket for a 1.5oz pour, a perfectly paired small plate, and an entry into our quarterly drawing for a bottle of something delicious!

Responsibilities:
Food prep, station setup, and breakdown
Working service across stations
Maintaining a clean and organized workspace
Assisting with light dish duties during morning prep

Qualifications:
Experience working sauté station
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work with others in a team-oriented mindset

Position Details:
Approximately 40 hours per week
Set weekly schedule
Kitchen operates Thursday through Monday
Service hours: 12 PM – 8/9 PM (lunch & dinner)
Guaranteed days off: Tuesday & Wednesday
$20-24 per hour plus kitchen tip-out from front of house
Compensation is based on experience and skills.

Tino has Type 1 Diabetes, and his team (his lovely family) asked us to do some fundraising like we've done for our OTHER friend Santino during Down Syndrome Awareness month.

SO, if you come into the restaurant in May and fancy a drink, check out our two special Team Tino cocktails! The proceeds for those drinks will go straight to Breakthrough TD1 to help find a cure in Tino's lifetime! And if you don't fancy a drink, you can ask your server to add a $2 *Tip for Tino* to your tab, or just chuck a lil money in the jar behind the bar.

Every little bit helps, and Tino's family are very dear to our hearts - so thank you to everyone who has come in or makes a donation this month! Thanks a million!

WINE & CHEESE TASTINGS ARE BACK!

So many of you beautiful babes have asked, and so you shall receive - and this time we're enlisting some professional help (and we're not talking about Jason's old mustache - RIP.)

Friend of the restaurant and booze nerd James Maleck will be co-hosting our Sunday, May 31st, 2PM tasting, featuring wines from Alsace, France! As always, we will be pairing four sensational wines with locally sourced cheeses from our best monger Kate from .

Tickets are $40 and are live on our online ordering portal on our website, and can be purchased in-house as well! Potentially a great, last-minute gift for any moms in your life, or just grab a solo ticket and come hang out with us!
