How Scouting can make a difference

For every 100 boys who join Scouting:
• 8 will enter a vocation that he has learned through Scouting
• 17 will be future Scout Leaders
• 18 will develop hobbies that will last a life time
• 1 will use his Scouting skills to save a life
• 5 will earn their religious award
• 5 will become Eagle Scouts
• 1 will use his Scout skills to save HIS OWN LIFE
• 12 will have their first contact with a religious institution
• Rarely will one be brought before a juvenile court
• 1 will enter the clergy

Scouting’s Alumni are:
65% of the Air Force Graduates
68% of West Point Graduates
70% of Annapolis Graduates
72% of Rhodes Scholars
89% of FBI Agents
26 of the first 29 Astronauts
89% of Senior Class Presidents

CUB SCOUTING IS A FAMILY RESPONSIBILITY
Our Cub Scout pack gives families the opportunity to spend time together. Families provide help and support to our pack. Families can help in many ways and will vary depending on the families. Family involvement can be any of the following:
• Working with your son on his achievements and electives
• Helping plan and attend Pack Meetings
• Helping with a den meeting or a special project
• Providing snacks and refreshments
• Providing transportation for scouting functions
• Becoming a leader

Each boy will be asked to participate and take on certain pack responsibilities. Responsibilities will be assigned if volunteers don’t step forward.
Our pack is only as good as our parents and boys.

CUB SCOUT MOTTO
“Do Your Best”
This is a motto that Pack 74 believes in.
Pack 74 meets every Tuesday at 7:00 pm. We meet at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. This is the church across from the library. Most of our dens and our Troop meet on the same evening at the same time. Currently many of our family members have more then one boy in our pack and troop at different ranks in scouting.
