The Monroe County Emergency Management Agency joined county officials in unveiling its large new Mobile Command Post 1 vehicle this week outside of the courthouse in Waterloo.

This unit, a refurbished fire truck, was acquired through a federal STARRS grant.

Monroe County EMA Director Kevin Scheibe said this vehicle features six command and control positions, a conference room, and communication capabilities to connect with other emergency agencies throughout the region.

Water main break in the Heritage Heights Subdivision near the American Legion St. This break includes E. Locust, Ritter Rd., Heritage St., Arch View Ct., Spring Terrace Ct., Historic Ct., the East side of N. Riebeling., and N. Ferkel.
This area is currently without water due to a water main break. We currently do not know how long the water will be off. This area will be on a boil order when the water comes back on.

This morning, the police department took a report of a stolen black Dodge Ram pickup truck from the 100 block of Gladwyn Drive, in the Alpine Trails neighborhood. The vehicle was unlocked with the keys inside. Investigation has revealed this occurred around 2:30 this morning.

Additionally, at 11:40 p.m. last night police took a report of a hit and run traffic crash involving a parked vehicle in front of 4 Liederkranz, in the Alpine Meadows neighborhood.
