Democrat lawmakers in Albany never seem to miss an opportunity to go after law-abiding gun owners.

Now they're pushing legislation to ban anyone under 18 from purchasing BB guns, air rifles, and pellet guns unless they're turned into brightly colored, non-functioning props. For generations, these tools have helped parents teach firearm safety, responsibility, marksmanship, and sportsmanship.

Instead of focusing on actual issues facing New Yorkers, rising crime, a mental health system in crisis, and the continued closure of facilities like Willard, once again, they're targeting responsible families and the next generation of sportsmen and women. New Yorkers want leaders focused on public safety and common sense, not political distractions.

Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice defending our nation and the freedoms we cherish.

As we reflect this Memorial Day, the 131st District is proud to include the Village of Waterloo, the recognized birthplace of Memorial Day, a community that has helped keep the spirit of remembrance alive for generations.

Congratulations to Jim Patsos, Jr. on being named the 2026 recipient of the Henry C. Welles Award by the Waterloo Library and Historical Society. It was an honor to attend this special event recognizing Jim’s dedication to our community.

Thank you to the Waterloo Library and Historical Society for helping kick off the Memorial Day weekend in such a meaningful way.

Exclusive | NY lawmakers debate $250K gift for Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce’s wedding 05/20/2026

This is how insane and tone deaf Albany Democrats have become.

While taxpayers struggle to keep up with skyrocketing taxes in our state, politicians were debating whether to spend your hard-earned tax dollars on Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding.

Maybe the politicians in Albany can afford to treat taxpayer money like a celebrity slush fund, but the hardworking families paying the bills in this state certainly can’t.

Exclusive | NY lawmakers debate $250K gift for Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce’s wedding State Assembly Democrats on Tuesday discussed adding a $250,000 item in New York’s overdue budget to provide security for the Swift-Kelce nuptials, which will take place in the Big Apple on J…

Hockey doesn’t get any better than this!

Good luck tonight to the Buffalo Sabres in Game 7 as they battle to move on to the conference semifinals.

When someone is facing an emergency and calls 911, they know someone in uniform will show up ready to run toward the danger, not away from it.

During National Police Week, I want to thank the men and women in law enforcement who continue serving our communities with courage and professionalism. I’ll always unapologetically back the blue and stand with our officers.

NYSEG, RG&E Temporary Rate Hikes Approved by PSC 05/14/2026

Kathy Hochul appointed PSC board members just voted to raise your utility bills AGAIN!

Don’t be fooled by the word “temporary,” the only thing temporary about this rate hike is delaying NYSEG and RG&E’s proposed massive rate increases until after Election Day.

As your Assemblyman, I will hold the utility companies and the PSC accountable for these reckless rate increases that continue to hurt families, seniors, and small businesses across our state.

NYSEG, RG&E Temporary Rate Hikes Approved by PSC Heads up, NYSEG & RG&E customers! 🚨 Temporary rate increases take effect June 1, but they're lower than utilities wanted. This allows more PSC review.

Kathy Hochul’s electric school bus mandate is a direct attack on our rural schools and local taxpayers.

I’ll fight to repeal this reckless mandate and stop the bankrupting of our schools to satisfy political extremists.

What do you think of electric school buses?

During National Correctional Officers Week, I stopped by the Seneca County Jail to drop off lunch and thank the hardworking correction officers who serve our community every single day.

These men and women take on one of the toughest jobs in public safety, often without the recognition they deserve. I’ll always stand with our corrections officers and fight to ensure they’re able to perform their duties safely.
