This is my yoga mat, and maybe it looks kind of… gross.

I’ve been using this same mat for 20 years.
Yep—20 years! That’s a long time to spend with anything. I can’t seem to part with it. Want to know why?

Because it’s actually my favorite mat. I’ve bought others—fancier, more colorful, brand-name mats—but they don’t compare to this one. I think I paid $9.99 for it at Target.

When I look at it now, I see the worn spots, the areas where my hands and feet have pressed down again and again. The spots where the mat has held me up, supported me, kept me from slipping.

This mat holds my story.
It’s where I’ve seen transformation—not just physically, but within myself.

Over time, I’ve become more mindful of how I feel. I notice how I miss my practice if I skip a week; how certain aches seem to disappear when I step back on the mat. Is it magic? I like to tell my students it is.

But really, it’s the practice.
The time.
The showing up.

Some days, I don’t feel as stretchy or as strong—but I always feel better when I’m done.

This mat may be worn, but it’s also where I’ve been reborn—again and again.

Maybe it’s not about the mat at all—but about who you become every time you return to it.

🍊 Healthy Orange Julius Recipe 🍊

Today, I tried an Orange Julius recipe without all the added sugar. It may not be the same version as the ones found at forgotten malls, but it may be healthier! Try it out!

🌿 Ingredients:
• 1 large orange, peeled & segmented
• ½ cup oat milk
• ¼ cup plain Greek yogurt (hello, protein! 💪)
• 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
• ½ tsp vanilla extract
• ½ cup ice cubes
• 1 tbsp ground flaxseed or chia seeds (for extra nutrients!)

🥤 How to Make It:
1️⃣ Blend all ingredients until smooth & frothy
2️⃣ Taste & adjust sweetness if needed
3️⃣ Pour, sip, and enjoy

👶 Child’s Pose – A grounding pose that melts away stress and promotes relaxation.

🪷 Seated Forward Fold – Stretches the spine and helps ease the body into rest mode.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!🍀

Let’s create some luck!🍀

Luck isn’t only about four-leaf clovers and good fortune—it’s also about mindset. 🧠

By practicing yoga, we learn to align our breath, body, and mind. 🧘🏼‍♀️

Being in alignment offers us the potential to create space for opportunity and abundance. 🤯

💡Try this: Step onto your mat today with an open heart. Flow through poses that invite grounding (tree pose) and gratitude (heart-opening backbends). While doing this practice, think about cultivating the presence of positivity within yourself, and invite good things into your life.

Maybe luck isn’t random—maybe it’s something we create within ourselves. 💚

I hope you have a wonderful St. Patty’s Day! ☘️ 💚

I’m so grateful for the opportunity to offer yoga at a spiritual retreat called Grounding in Bloom. I can’t wait to share this sacred space with everyone. Have you ever attended a spiritual retreat?
