Our newest quilt sample has arrived, and it’s brewing up all kinds of Halloween magic!
This quilt showcases one of our newest Halloween panel, surrounded by coordinating prints that perfectly capture spooky season without being scary. The pops of orange, black, and teal make those whimsical witch panels absolutely shine!
We used the Picture Perfect pattern from Villa Rosa Designs, and it's a fantastic option when you want to highlight panels while still incorporating your favorite coordinating fabrics. Even better? It's fat quarter friendly, making it a great stash-busting project too!
Inspiration Tip:
Panel quilts don't have to be complicated. A simple pattern like Picture Perfect lets the artwork take center stage while adding enough piecing to create a polished, finished look.
Whether you're already sewing for Halloween or just dreaming about cooler weather and spooky stitching, this one is sure to put a spell on you!
Stop in and see it hanging in the shop, and check out the panel and coordinating fabrics while you're here!

Donna’s Pick of the Week! This week’s pick is this beautiful print from Phoebe Fabrics’ A Spring Dance collection.
There’s just something about this fabric that keeps drawing me back to it. The soft color palette is lovely, but what I really adore is the design itself. The flowing lines, stylized flowers, and graceful curves remind me so much of Art Nouveau artwork and architecture.
It feels elegant, timeless, and just a little bit whimsical.
I can see this fabric working beautifully in quilts, bags, home décor projects, or even as a feature print that gets to shine on its own. (A 3-yard quilt, perhaps?) Sometimes a fabric doesn’t need to be loud to make a statement—it just quietly captures your attention.
What do you think? Does anyone else see the Art Nouveau influence, or is that just the art nerd in me?

Our newest completed sample is complete, and we are absolutely swooning over these soft, romantic florals.
This beautiful quilt features the Sketchbook collection from Riley Blake Designs, and the watercolor-style florals paired with the delicate pieced borders make it feel timeless and elegant.
Inspiration Tip:
Panel quilts don’t have to be “just a panel.” Adding pieced borders or coordinating blocks can completely elevate the finished look and make the quilt feel custom and unique.
This one feels like a cozy English garden in quilt form.

Measure twice, cut once… curse… repeat
Pretty sure this is the official slogan of quilting at this point
Lately, my sewing room has been filled with fabric pulls, calculator sessions, graph paper, seam ripping, and a whole lot of math because I’ve been hard at work on something NEW and super fun for the shop… ✨ A Creative Spaces Studio Mystery Quilt! ✨
The pattern is being designed by me from the ground up, and right now I’m deep in the “make sure all the math actually works” stage. Let me tell you… quilting math is no joke. But I’m so excited about how it’s coming together, and I cannot wait to share it with all of you!
Our Mystery Quilt fun officially kicks off July 1st, so stay tuned for details, and all the quilting chaos that comes with it

Our newest sample hanging in the shop is this bright and happy beauty
This quilt uses just three 1-yard cuts of fabric and comes together surprisingly fast — making it a fantastic project for beginners, quick gifts, or anyone wanting a fun weekend sew!
We used fabrics from a gorgeous Art Gallery Fabrics Plentiful collection, and we love how the bold pinks and sunny yellows frame those playful floral prints. It feels cheerful, modern, and just plain FUN
The pattern is Zamora by Villa Rosa Designs, and it’s a great reminder that simple patterns can still make a huge impact.
We’ve got both the fabric and the pattern available in the shop or online if this one is calling your name!
Inspiration Tip:
Three-yard quilt patterns are a great way to build confidence with color combinations. Pick one bold focus print and let coordinating fabrics do the rest of the work!
