Lucky Clover Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit Horse and farm animal rescue and animal welfare advocate organization

While normal operations have resumed and our equines have returned to being their unapologetically goofy selves, we want to take a moment to recognize and thank the more than 100 donors and sponsors who helped make the Down Home Vendor Fair such a success.

Your generosity directly supports the daily care of the horses and donkeys at Lucky Clover Rescue. Donations help us prepare for emergencies, which can arise unexpectedly with large animals, cover routine farrier care to keep our equines balanced and comfortable, and provide the feed, supplements, medications, and specialized care each animal may need.

While many of our equines are trimmed every six weeks, some require farrier visits as often as every three weeks depending on their hoof growth and individual needs. These regular appointments are essential to their comfort, soundness, and overall well-being.

Because of your support, we can continue providing a safe, loving place for equines in need while ensuring they receive the care they deserve.

From all of us, both two-legged and four-legged, thank you for believing in our mission and making a difference in the lives of these animals. πŸ’šπŸ΄

Happy Monday, everyone!

While the excitement of the weekend is still lingering, we want to take a moment to give a huge thank you to Cameryn Dix with Down Home Real Estate Co. for helping make the Down Home Vendor Fair such a success.

A few months ago, Cameryn approached us with the idea of hosting a vendor fair and immediately hit the ground running. Alongside Aly Addis, they worked tirelessly coordinating vendors, organizing details, and helping bring this event to life. Thanks to their dedication and the support of so many others, the event welcomed approximately 500 community members who came out to shop local businesses, support local rescues, and learn more about the work we do here at Lucky Clover Rescue.

We also want to give a special shoutout to our incredible volunteers: Kelly Woznicki, Dawn Apostoli Lichter, and Heidi Grassberger. These ladies dedicated countless hours of their free time not only to the daily chores and care of the animals, but also to the enormous amount of behind-the-scenes work required to make an event of this size successful. Their commitment, hard work, and passion for the rescue do not go unnoticed.

The truth is, we could not have done this without every single person who donated their time and energy to help make the day run smoothly. From preparing the grounds months in advance, to setting up, directing traffic, assisting vendors, helping guests, and handling the countless details that visitors never see, our volunteers put in an incredible amount of work. On event day alone, we had people arriving as early as 6:00 AM, and thanks to every available helping hand, the grounds were cleaned up and we were ready to resume normal operations by 4:30 PM. That kind of dedication is truly remarkable.

Community awareness and support are the backbone of every nonprofit organization. Events like this are only possible because people come together to support a common cause.

To everyone who attended, shared our posts, donated, volunteered, shopped, sponsored, and cheered us on, thank you. Your support helps us continue providing a safe and loving place for equines in need, and we are incredibly grateful to be part of such an amazing community.

We simply cannot thank everyone enough. πŸ’šπŸ΄

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you! πŸ’šπŸ΄

To every person who attended, volunteered, donated, sponsored, shared a post, liked a photo, followed our page, bid in the auction, purchased raffle tickets, supported our vendors, or cheered us on from afarβ€”thank you for helping make the Down Home Vendor Fair an incredible success.

Events like this are only possible because of the amazing community that stands behind our rescue and the animals we serve. Your support means more than words can express.

Please stay tuned as we wrap up the weekend. We can't wait to share updates, photos, and the impact that your generosity will have on the horses and donkeys of Lucky Clover Rescue.

Thank you for believing in our mission and being part of our village. πŸ’šπŸ΄πŸ€

Awesome raffles and silent auction! It's a beautiful day! Come see us and support the rescue!

06/19/2026

⏰ There are only about 24 HOURS LEFT in our Online Silent Auction! ⏰

If you've been watching an item, now is the time to place your bid! πŸ‘€

The good news? Every item now has at least one bid. πŸŽ‰ The even better news? There are still plenty of items with only ONE bid, meaning your chances of taking home an amazing experience, gift certificate, basket, or unique item are really good right now!

And remember, you do NOT need to be present at the Down Home Vendor Fair to win. Many items can be arranged for pickup later, and some certificates can even be delivered electronically.

Every dollar raised helps Lucky Clover Rescue cover the daily costs of caring for our animals, as well as those unexpected expenses that inevitably come with rescue work. Feed, hay, veterinary care, farrier visits, maintenance, and emergency needs all add up quickly, and your support makes it possible for us to continue our mission.

πŸ“£ Share this post, tell your friends, and help us finish strong!

πŸŽ‰πŸ΄ The excitement is palpable here at Lucky Clover Rescue as we put the final touches on making everything fabulous for tomorrow! πŸ΄πŸŽ‰

Months of planning, countless volunteer hours, generous donations, and a whole lot of hard work have all led up to this moment. We cannot wait to welcome everyone to our biggest event yet!

A few reminders before you head out:

πŸš— We will have volunteers directing traffic and parking throughout the event. For everyone's safety, please be patient with them as they work to get everyone parked as efficiently as possible.

πŸ’΅ There will NOT be an ATM on site, so please plan accordingly. We encourage everyone to bring cash. While some vendors and the rescue will be able to accept cards, cash helps keep everything moving smoothly.

πŸ›οΈ Give yourself plenty of time to explore! We are now up to 35+ vendors with a fantastic variety of products and services.

🎟️ Be sure to check out our 100+ raffle baskets and gift cards, valued at approximately $14,500!

πŸ‘• Don't forget to stop by the Lucky Clover merchandise booth for T-shirts, pullovers, and, koozies

🐴 Take time to meet the horses and donkeys, read their biographies, and learn the stories behind the faces that call Lucky Clover home.

Our goofballs are so excited to see everyone on Saturday! πŸ΄πŸ’š

We know Fred is a fan favorite, and many of you will be hoping to meet him. However, Fred gets very excited when there is a lot going on, so to help keep both our visitors and equines safe, Fred will be spending the event relaxing in the barn. We kindly ask that guests avoid that area so he can enjoy a calm, stress-free day.

The rest of our residents will be out in the dry lots and pastures, ready to greet visitors and soak up the attention!

A few important reminders before your visit:

β€’ Lucky Clover is an active equine rescue facility. Being around large animals carries inherent risks, and all guests enter at their own risk.

β€’ Please keep hands, phones, bags, and children a safe distance from fences and pens. Some of our horses like to investigate the world with their mouths!

β€’ We share the property with chickens, ducks, geese, and guinea hens. Please do not chase, disturb or overwhelm them. If you leave the geese alone, they will happily leave you alone.

β€’ While some visitors may have horse experience, we ask that only approved Lucky Clover volunteers enter pens, paddocks, or pastures.

β€’ We may have a horse available for grooming demonstrations and educational opportunities. Even the calmest horse can spook unexpectedly, so please follow volunteer instructions and respect the animals' space.

Our residents have all come from unique backgrounds, and your cooperation helps ensure they have a safe, positive experience while meeting their many admirers.

We can't wait to welcome everyone to the Down Home Vendor Fair and share our incredible equines with you! See you Saturday! 🐴☘️

While we were grateful for the rain yesterday, it did put a small damper on the chore list. β˜”πŸ΄

But fear not! Gizmo was more than happy to lend a hoof with smoothing out the dry lot. We think he did an excellent job overseeing the operation, conducting inspections, and making sure every inch met his very high standards.

Whether he was actually helping or just supervising from nose-level is still up for debate. πŸ€”
