What does this mean?

~Redefining arrogance shifts the perspective from viewing it as an inflated ego or simple pride to recognizing it as a mask for deep-seated insecurity and fear. Many psychologists, philosophers, and thinkers view it as a defense mechanism used to protect a fragile sense of self-worth.

• Fear Dressed as Power: Experts on Psychology Today note that arrogance acts as a defensive maneuver or a way to overcompensate for feelings of inadequacy.

• The "Mask" Metaphor: Writers and philosophers often describe arrogance as a shield that insecure individuals hide behind to avoid being seen as unhappy or inadequate.
• Gullibility and Overconfidence: Some online communities—such as those discussed on Reddit—propose that arrogance is simply the pairing of overconfidence with a lack of self-awareness or gullibility.

• Confusion with Confidence: People frequently mislabel genuine, quiet confidence as arrogance when someone bravely walks their own path or challenges the status quo.

Luke 13:1-5 NKJV

[3] I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish. [4] Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them, do you think that they were worse sinners than all other men who dwelt in Jerusalem? [5] I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.”

An arrogant person exploits another person's tradgedy to gain recognition although they had nothing to do with them in real life. There's nothing more disturbing and disgusting than an arrogant and opportunistic hypocrite.
