This was a little over a two years ago. This song in this reel was based on "Some Days" and to be honest, I still have my days. I never know when they hit but go from sadness to grief to anger to shame and back around again...

I’m sharing this because i was going through old posts and this reel popped up so in my face, "Some Days," still resonates with me. It reminds me of a time when the struggle was so real, some days I wasn't sure how I was going to keep going.

I've learned a lot since then, especially about things like narcissistic abuse and the pain it can cause. It did so much damage to our family, and while some of those ties have mended, others are gone forever.

I would never wish this experience on anyone, and it breaks my heart to know others are going through it right now. I still have my "PTSD moments" when the old memories surface.

I've been asked if I'm "over it," and that's a hard question. It’s like asking someone who lost a limb in a car accident if they’re "over it" yet. There is no "over it." There's only moving forward, living a new life in a different light.

I've learned to live my life for me, not for what others might think. I've learned to be at peace with myself and to find my own happiness.

As for you, will you ever come back? I don’t know. Maybe. Would we let you back in? Probably. But things would be different. A mother’s love, though, is unconditional, and that part of my heart will never be completely closed off. Even with the painful memories, forgiveness is essential—not just for others, but for yourself, too.

I believe everyone needs to work on forgiveness, and I’ve had to work on it a lot myself. It’s not something that happens overnight; it's a long, messy healing process.

If you ever come back, you won't find the same person you left. The trauma changed me. But it didn’t make me cold or unloving. It just made me different. I hope that one day, you can accept your own accountability for your self-growth.

And I truly hope healing for you, too.
